Huyen Thoai Bat Tu – The Legend Is Alive

Dustin Nguyen (Little Fish) is Ly Tieu Long (Vietnamese for Bruce Lee) a mentally challenged martial artist whose quest to find America takes him throughout central Vietnam.

Long’s mother ba Lan (Kim Xuan, Beautiful Country) runs a school teaching the Binh Dinh style of Vietnamese martial arts. Too slow to participate with the other children, Long receives his training in solace. His mother’s love and devotion is soon rewarded when Long becomes proficient in Binh Dinh martial arts. When ba Lan dies, Long is left alone and confused. He decides to try and find a way to bring his mother’s ashes to America to rest with his father (Bruce Lee), or so he believes.

Along the way, Long meets a jaded runaway named Trinh (Tran Thien Tu, The White Silk Dress). When Trinh finds out the internet fianceù she ran away from home for is the big boss (Tran Bao Son) in a human trafficking ring, Trinh turns to Long for help.

Unfortunately for Trinh, Long has vowed to his mother, never to use his martial arts skills to fight. When trouble mounts, and the bad guys pile it on, Long finally snaps, ultimately breaking his vow to his mother in order to rescue Trinh from a life of servitude.
